There are many benefits to becoming a member of an advocating, registered, non-profit arts group which has been in existence for over 41 years!
It is our intention to help shape the future of the arts in Richmond and you can help us do it by becoming a member, thereby supporting us and the arts. Whether you are an artists or not, you can still benefit by volunteering. By volunteering not only are you giving back to your community and the arts, but you are also promoting yourself at the same time.
On the "about us" page you will find information on some of our history and past achievements.
Since closing our Artisans' Galleria we no longer have a home base, rather we operate as a board, continuing to pursue our long standing mandate of supporting the arts, artists and artisans in our community.
So while we no longer have a location where our members can exhibit and sell their work, we still plan to be as active as possible. Of course the degree to which this is done. will depend greatly upon our members.
We understand that everyone has busy lives these days and many people, while well intentioned, just can't always commit to being able to "be there" for us when we need them.
We have given much thought to creating new levels of membership for the 2011 - 2012 membership year in the hope that we can both retain and recruit members to assist us in our goals.
The membership page of this website gives you a breakdown of what you will receive with your annual membership fees. Remember, if you care about the arts, please join and help us do our job.
Your input will be invaluable in helping to point us in the right direction for the future. You don't have to be an artist, you just have to have an interest.
Our membership year is from October 1 - September 30 of each year. Our new membership application will available for download very soon.
The fees for the membership year October 1 2011 - September 30 2012 are:
- Mature Student (18 yrs & up with I.D.) $15.00
- Supporting Members $20.00
- Participating Members $35.00
- Groups and Corporations $100.00
- Lifetime member - Individual $100.00
- Lifetime member - Group or Company $500.00
